16th June 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a week! Thank you for your patience as we renovate the front porch, it will be amazing when it is done!

We are super proud of all our children in years 1 and 2 completing their phonics screening, they have been absolute super stars and have shown off all the skills they have learned. We are equally proud of the personal qualities demonstrated by year 4 as they have completed their times table tests.  Well done to all!!

We have a number of classes out on trips next week, we know they will make us all proud as they show off their best behaviours when they are out and about orienteering, observing plants or visiting other schools. These out of school learning opportunities are so important.

This week 100% of children were on time!! This makes a massive difference to their learning in school, thank you for continuing to work with us to ensure your children are in school on time every day. If you are worried about your child’s attendance or punctuality, please pop in on any Monday afternoon for a chat with Rebecca Fenlon (Family Team) and Jeni Watkins (Local Authority Attendance Officer).

A reminder of the dates for your diaries:

July 11th KS2 sports day (time to be confirmed)

July 12th KS1 sports day (time to be confirmed)

July 20th Summer Fayre: 1.30pm onwards. (changed from 2pm)

Year 6 children have been working hard delivering pitches to myself and Mr Ascroft in the hope of being given a budget for their business ideas. They will continue to work hard on their business enterprises and will be available at the fayre selling their goods – please do come and support them. I have to say, their pitches were amazing and I cannot wait to enjoy their products!

Please ensure children have hats, water and sun cream applied. Thank you for your support.

Kind regards
