19th April 2024 Dear Parents and Carers,
The children have been creating images to share in assembly this week. They then had the opportunity to talk about what they have reflected upon as a class and how their image demonstrates this. We have all thought about what it means to ‘reflect’ and how this helps us become the best version of ourselves, learning from our mistakes and tweaking work, behaviours and attitudes where necessary.
Year 5 had an amazing trip to the space centre and yet again staff came back reporting how well the children represented themselves, the school and you.
Next week Year 2 are going to Warwick Castle and are already very excited!
We are very lucky that our staff put on such a range of clubs. I know that children had an amazing time in Mr Burns’ club yesterday making a cave painting in his Ancient History club.
We do ask that children are collected on time whether it is at 3.15pm for the end of the day or 4.15pm if they are staying for a club. If this is difficult for you, please contact us so we can help you find a solution.
Please remember the importance of punctuality and attendance. Each class are hoping to be the one that has the most days where they have 100% attendance. We understand that some incidences cannot be avoided but we are trying to help the children with their work ethics by understanding that we do all occasionally get coughs and colds but that we can still be in school learning in many cases. Miss Fenlon and Miss Rowland are always happy to give support with this. Last week Ricoh had the best attendance. Come on everyone else!!
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership, remember our doors are always open should you wish to discuss anything with us or would like support.
We hope you have a relaxing weekend.
Kind regards
Lucy Pater Deputy Headteacher
