Dear Parents and Carers,

What a week! Trips to the local library, forest school adventures, completely settled Reception children, new Nursery children in with their grown ups for stay and play and then on their own!! We are grateful to everyone who continues to go the extra mile to ensure children at Stoke receive a happy, exciting and meaningful education.

Thank you for your donations to Macmillan last week, together we raised over £200 for a great cause. We continue to grow our showcase foyer with examples of the children’s hard work; we were so glad to welcome you in to view it last week and look forward to the next time.

We were pleased to welcome one of our Governors, Mrs Timms to our celebration assembly this morning. The children wowed us all with their continued examples of challenging themselves and their demonstration of our Stoke values. We are impressed with the children who are beginning to spot our values in others as well as articulate where they themselves have demonstrated them.

Congratulations to all our nominees who love to spot themselves on the screen in the foyer. Keep up the great work Stoke!!

A thank you also to Mr Hussain, another one of our Governors who has devoted so much time this week to help sort out our school library as we continue to prioritise children’s enjoyment of reading. We look forward to opening our new library soon…watch this space!!

A reminder of our two training days – Friday 30th September and Monday 3rd October.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
