Dear Parents and Carers,

Christmas Events!

Our whole school Christmas meal was a huge success. All children and adults shared this experience and there was a real sense of ‘family’ and excitement.

Today, the children were treated to a surprise flash mob experience where all the adults got up and danced and played percussion instruments in the middle of assembly. I’m not sure who was most surprised…the children or Mr Ascroft!!

We are looking forward to our Winter Wonderland experience (Christmas Fete) and look forward to seeing you there on 21^st December 1.30-4pm. Please collect your children from their classes at 1.30 and come and meet the donkey, sheep and goat, listen to the live band, have some hot food and drinks and have a go on our fun stalls. Bring your pennies and Christmas joy as we enjoy this experience together. Children will be able to talk to Mary, Joseph and the shepherds and pet the animals.

Santa’s grotto starts tonight and continues Monday to Wednesday next week. Please ensure you have purchased your tickets and bring your children to the correct House day for this!

Thank you to all those who came to our new starter coffee afternoon today. We had a number of interpreters present to help with communication and ensure all new starters feel welcome and helped in a variety of ways.

Reminders

1. A reminder to ensure children have coats (gloves and hats if required) as the weather gets colder
2. Please continue to support your children by hearing them read and signing Boom reader four times a week. This makes a huge difference to their progress
3. Previously worn uniform is available on Thursdays from 3pm in main office. Do pop along.
4. New to Stoke drop in 2pm 15^th December where we have a number of interpreters joining us to ensure we can communicate well and discover how we can further support you and your children as you settle at Stoke Primary School.
5. Dec 18^th 9am – years 1,2,3: performance to parents 2.30pm – years 4,5,6 performance to parents
6. Dec 21^st 1.30-4pm – Winter Wonderland / fete. Collect children at 1.30pm.
