Dear Parents,

Today is the end of term and a strange term it has been. Thank you all for your engagement over the past weeks.

I hope you have all received a letter from your child’s new teacher and remember we all return on Wednesday 2nd September.

We will have 4 different entrances for our children

• Reception Classes – will enter school from the main access gate at the front of school

• Year 1 and 2 – will enter through the normal school gate by the footpath

• Year 3 and 4 – will enter through the large staff carpark lower down Briton Road

• Year 5 and 6 – will enter through the small staff carpark near the front of school

When we return in September things will be different to the school we were before the closure. We will return to “Bubble Phases”. Each bubble will have 4 classes, additional rooms and set area of the playground.

Unfortunately we cannot run our breakfast club or after school clubs, but as soon as guidance allows us we will start these again.

We are waiting for the final feedback on our risk assessments from the City Council, however we are pleased with the way the systems and cleaning have worked since we reopened. I am confident that by working with the guidance we have we can make school as safe as possible.

As part of all our teaching the team will continually work with all our children to develop the systems for hand washing and encouraging physical distancing as appropriate.

Please remember if your child or any member of your household has Covid symptoms you must seek advice and get a tested. Please do not come to the school site if you have Covid symptoms.

Wednesday 2nd September – School reopens to all year groups, except Nursery

Friday 18th September – School Closed for Training Day

Monday 21st September – School Closed for Training Day

Monday 5th October / Tuesday 6th October - Parent Consultations
