Dear Parents and Carers,

The children have settled back into school routines and expectations, showing brilliant levels of kindness and empathy as well as a desire to learn more.

Thank you for your ongoing support and willingness to come and ask for help or clarification where needed. We always do our best to meet needs and support all our families.

The learning quality we are developing this half term is our ability to ‘reflect’. We celebrated many examples of this in assembly this morning and are proud of how the children are beginning to see this as a useful process to become the best learners, and indeed friends, they can be.

We continue to welcome in new families from all around the world, adding to the uniqueness and diversity of our school. Next week we are thrilled that we will be having a huge map painted on one of our larger walls which will evoke lots of discussion, I am surel!!

Please remember the importance of punctuality and attendance. Each class are hoping to be the one that has the most days where they have 100% attendance. We understand that some incidences cannot be avoided but we are trying to help the children with their work ethics by understanding that we do all occasionally get coughs and colds but that we can still be in school learning in many cases. Misss Fenlon and Miss Rowland are always happy to give support with this.

Year 6 had a wonderful trip to both Coventry Cathedral and the transport museum – they were well behaved and a credit to yourselves and the school.

We hope you have a relaxing weekend.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
