6th October 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you

We had a visitor from the food bank come and thank the children for their harvest donations in assembly yesterday. The children were polite and interested and as a school we are pleased to have helped our community. Year 4 performed their original harvest rap and wowed our visitor who suggested every school should learn it!

Library fun

Thank you to Mrs Morris for organising class trips to the local library – the children loved it, we hope you continue to make visits with your children. They were a credit to you and the school when out and about.

Clean air

Mr Ascroft was involved in a community assembly last weekend at school where there was lots of discussion about how to make our community a safer and cleaner place. The hall was not only full of ideas from members of the community but was full of plants too. Many of these will be planted around school whilst some will be collected by local businesses.

Reminders

The next staff training day is November 6th. School will be closed to all children on this day.

Thank you for not riding electric scooters on the playground and for ensuring children are able to arrive and leave school safely. Thanks also for ensuring children are collected by responsible adults or siblings (if they are in year 9 or above).

Please continue to support your children by hearing them read and signing Boom reader four times a week. This makes a huge difference to their progress.

Our next SEND coffee morning is October 25th, please feel free to drop in for a chat.

Previously worn uniform is available on Thursdays from 3pm in main office. Do pop along.

Wishing you and your children a happy and safe weekend.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
