Tuesday 8th November Dear Parents and Carers,
I am really please to let you know that we are re-launching OWN books. Some of you may remember your child bringing home a book with this sticker on in the past. OWN books is a project that we have been taking part in, where we are supplied with books that children can take home to read and keep, for free.
Next week, the shelves will have been restocked and a rota has been drawn up and shared with the children. Once a week, children will have the opportunity to browse the shelves and select a book they want to take home.
Due to the pandemic, getting the books has been trickier than before, therefore children are more than welcome to keep the book forever, to be read and enjoyed at home, but if you find that your child has selected a book that they are not that keen on, please get them to return it so another child can read it too.
