Hello 3SL,

In September, you are going to be the new 4GB and I am super excited to be your Year 4 teacher. I am so looking forward to all the exciting things and amazing learning that we will all do. I’m looking forward to watching you all be brilliant next year and being part of that journey.

When you come back to school in September, we will all be part of something special: a whole school topic. That means every year group will be learning about the same thing. This is so that we can get to know you and some of the amazing work that you produce will go on a whole school display.

Over the summer, I would like you to do a few things for me.

1.) Relax so that you come back to school refreshed, eager and ready to learn.

2.) Have fun. I want you to do lots of fun things over the summer. Smile, laugh lots

and enjoy the time.

3.) Read. Find a book you enjoy and make a den or a blanket fortress. Make yourself a safe, quiet, happy place to get lost in a book.

4.) Help your parents out around the house. Even if it’s just keeping your room tidy or packing away your toys without being asked.
