1st July 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

So much to celebrate this week at Stoke Primary school. Children in all year groups have worked hard to achieve their very best. Children have been exploring their learning and using a variety of methods to solve problems.

Year 3 enjoyed learning outside the classroom on their trip to a local park where they persevered with observational drawings and enjoyed eating their lunches picnic style! Look out for photos to follow in the gallery section on the website.

The choir performed at Warwick Arts Centre this week and were a credit to the school and yourselves. They were commended for their impeccable behaviour and for singing loud and proud! Well done children and thanks to Miss Burns for organizing this.

We have been welcoming our new starters into Reception through a series of afternoon sessions. They are quickly settling and seem to love their new environment. Our current Reception children suddenly seem very grown up. We are so very proud of how far they have come this year.

We continue to guide the children to be the best they can be though the use of our Stoke values. This week the focus has been on kindness. We hope you spot children using these values at home too. We are: Solution focused, Truthful, Optimistic, Kind, Empathetic!

We are all looking forward to transition week next week and hope you get to hear all about it from your children.

Please be aware of games your children may be playing that are not suitable for their age. Many online games look as if they are suitable for primary aged children but actually have a 13 or even 18 age restriction.

The age limits are there to provide guidance on what is suitable for young children’s development and to ensure they are not exposed to inappropriate content.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
