Dear Parents and Carers,

Another great week of learning at school developing the use of our qualities. Children are seeing the benefits to their learning of challenging themselves and persevering. Next week we will be honing are focus skills, encouraging the children to concentrate hard to achieve best outcomes.

The children have responded well to the new lunchtime arrangements of a 45 minute break and teachers are seeing the benefits of the extra 15 minutes learning time to ensure we make every second count.

The family team are sending out a letter about sun safety and the importance of applying suncream, wearing hats and keeping hydrated. We do understand the benefits of sun glasses for those that suffer from hay fever but equally have to follow health and safety advice given to us. Whilst we have a general no sunglasses rule, please do come and discuss individual, medical needs with us.

Having thought about being solution focused and truthful this term, this week, we are turning our attention to being  Optimistic, we will be encouraging the children to see the best in others and in situations they find themselves in.

A reminder of our Stoke values. We are: Solution focused, Truthful, Optimistic, Kind, Empathetic!

Thank you for your ongoing support with home reading and times tables, it makes a big difference to the children’s progress if you talk to them about their learning. Please do check out the website for further information of what your children have been up to, you’ll be amazed by their brilliance as we are!

Have a good weekend staying safe in the sunshine!

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
