15th July 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

I wonder if your children have told you about the exciting artwork that is being completed in our library area this week. The children have been fascinated to see our real-life artist at work as she creates a magical world full of book characters and wonder.

The children coped really well with the news that Sports day had to be postponed due to the weather. As next week is set to be even hotter, we will now plan our sports day events for week 3 of the Autumn term.

A reminder of our Stoke values that are helping children resolve problems and ensure that everyone strives to be the best version of themselves possible! These are especially important when we are tired, hot and bothered! Solution focused, Truthful, Optimistic, Kind, Empathetic!

In assembly today we celebrated children who are demonstrating the ability to reflect on learning and attitudes and make improvements; well done to all nominations and winners!

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended Edukey meetings this week, working together really is the best way for us to help children progress.

Our final week in school promises to be one of celebration as we watch and feel proud of our year 6 children performing in their play. Year 6, you are amazing!! The choir are also treating us to a performance in assembly to show case all their hard work this term.

We are very excited about our school fete on Thursday 21st July. Please collect your children from their classes at 1.30pm and enjoy the fete with them. If you have not already done so, please pay £2 via SimsPay. All money raised will go to support children’s outdoor learning.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
