Dear Parents and Carers

What a busy term it has been.  During these last weeks we’ve had children exploring forest school, bringing their learning to life with dissection, investigating volcanoes and exploring life in the Anglo Saxon period.

In amongst these opportunities we have been working hard to assess all our children to make sure we target the remainder of this term with the right skills so that we minimise any impact from the time school has been closed.

Hopefully you will have heard your children talking about their new House.  All our children are working hard to earn points for their House team.  Our children are very proud posting their tokens every day, also giving us the chance to talk to them and find out why and how they have been brilliant in their lessons.

When we returned from school being closed we understood many of the challenges Covid had created.  As part of this we were flexible over uniform.  Over the coming weeks please make sure that we increasingly return to school uniform expectations so that in September we have full uniform all the time.

As a team we feel the different gates for drop off and collection have worked well and we will be continuing this for the remainder of this school year.  We have seen our children grow in independence and take responsibility for themselves at the start and end of the day.  Please remember though, we still need masks and to give each other space on the pavement.

I hope you all have a good half term break and that all our children come back on Monday 7th June energised and ready to go.

Yours Sincerely

Mathew Ascroft
