Dear Parents and Carers,

We have exciting news! 8 chicks have all hatched this week and have been on a tour around school today. There has been lots of awe and wonder as children have observed them.

We have also had a huge map of the world put up in our entrance hall. Staff worked hard to put it together and the conversations it has generated from children as they spot home countries and places they have visited has been amazing.

Year 6 have SATS coming up soon, we encourage you to help your child by ensuring they get a good nights sleep and remain fed and watered. We always praise work ethics and know the children can focus well, persevere, challenge themselves and be solution focused. It is not just the end results we are interested in but seeing these important values too.

Children have been told today that if it is their birthday and they are in school, they will receive a surprise. Please support us in ensuring children are in school every day… even if it is their Birthday!! Children should be in school every day. Thank you.

Year 2 have an exciting trip coming up next week. They are off to the Sea life Centre to support their curriculum learning. Year 5 are then due to go to the Space Centre to contribute to their learning.

We hope you enjoy the long weekend with your wonderful children and look forward to seeing you next week.
