Introducing Stokes Shine & Dine!

Stokes catering service has recently been reviewed, and re-vamped as Shine & Dine. Our mission is to redefine the dining experience by offering a menu that not only excites the taste buds but also supports a healthy lifestyle. We want to encourage our children to explore foods, and be curious.

At Stokes Shine and Dine, we believe that healthy eating should be a delightful journey. Our kitchen team are dedicated to crafting new and exciting menus that showcase a diverse range of flavours and textures. From vibrant salads to innovative main courses, we strive to make every bite a celebration of good taste and well-being.

We understand the importance of catering to different dietary preferences, ensuring that there is something for everyone. Our commitment to providing delicious vegetarian options stems from the belief that a well-rounded menu is inclusive and welcoming to all.

For the younger members of our community, we recognise the significance of portion control in their development. Our specially crafted children's menu is designed to introduce them to a balanced diet while fostering healthy eating habits. We believe that instilling the value of portion control from a young age contributes to a lifetime of well-being.

We are proud advocates for hot school dinners. We encourage parents to consider the benefits of providing their children with warm, nutritious meals at school. Research indicates that hot lunches contribute not only to better nutrition but also to improved concentration and overall well-being, supporting children's growth and development.

Staff at Stoke are also welcomed to join the children when dining, which is enjoyable for all.

Food allergy information
Our recipes and products have been analysed for a number of potential allergens which could affect your child so you can be sure your child’s school meal is safe. Comprehensive allergen information has been issued to all schools and our catering teams are trained in allergen awareness. Please inform the school admin staff if your child requires a special diet for medical reasons.

The new School Food Standards (SFS)
A new set of School Food Standards (SFS) has been issued for school lunches effective from January 2015. Eating in school should be a pleasurable experience: These school food standards (SFS) are intended to help children develop healthy eating habits and ensure that they get the energy and nutrition they need across the whole school day. It is just as important to cook food that looks good and tastes delicious; to talk to children about what is on offer and recommend dishes; and to serve the food in a pleasant environment where they can eat with their friends.
