Dear parents/carers,
This is to let you know that as part of the Taking Care project, children in all years (except Nursery) are currently learning about Protective Behaviours in school. This is a countrywide programme that we teach children about every year.
The programme is tailored to meet the needs of all children at an appropriate level and it contains information that will help them to identify when they do not feel safe as well as equipping them with the skills and strategies to help them feel safe again. It is designed to prevent abuse and harm by teaching children how to apply the taught strategies and skills if they feel unsafe.
