16th December 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a term we have had.  In the run up to the Christmas holiday we have seen our key stage 1 children enjoy the Nativity at St Michaels Church with Reverend Claire, the year 3 to year 6 children enjoy the Christmas Carole at the Albany Theatre, the reception children take us on two magical trips to Bethlehem, key stage 1 share a brilliant singing celebration along with years 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 respectfully.

To help enjoy this Christmas period we have been lucky to have four visits from Santa to the Grotto in Forest School.  We hope everyone who visited enjoyed the chance to share their brilliance with Santa.

To finish our term we have also had a visit from Ofsted.  Our children and staff have been magnificent showing our school, what we do well and exploring where we need to go next in our journey to be the best school we can be.  The outcome from this will be shared towards the end of January.

Thank you for all your engagement with the events that we have put on.  Our community really is a great one and we love sharing the magic from our children with you.

As we end the term, we are saying good bye to Mrs Noone as she moves to a new Deputy Head Teacher role in the city.  Mrs Noone has worked tirelessly to ensure all our children have a rich and vibrant curriculum.  We thank her for all her hard work over her time at Stoke.  Next term we will be welcoming Miss Parker to Stoke as an Assistant Head Teacher.  Look out for her on the gate in the mornings as she starts to get to know everyone.

We all hope you have a good holiday period and look forward to seeing the children back on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

Yours Sincerely
