Dear Parents and Carers,

What a great first week back after the break. The children (and staff!) have come back refreshed and raring to go. This term is only very short so it is vital we make the most of the time we have and the children have shown us this week that they are up for the challenge!

We have had an amazing reading week and celebrated World Book Day in style yesterday with so many great costumes and a real love of books being shared by children and adults. Thank you for your support with helping children find and make costumes. Thank you to Mrs Morris for organizing the week.

Year 3 are looking forward to their Roman day on Monday, we can’t wait to see the enthusiasm and curiosity that comes from the experience.

Attendance: All children are expected to have at least 96% attendance. Children who have under 90% attendance received a letter before half time to highlight this. Please help your child to be in school every day and on time. If you are worried about your child’s attendance or punctuality, please pop in any Monday afternoon for a cuppa with Miss Fenlon and Jeni Watkins (Local Authority Attendance Officer) to see how they can support you.

Please note, if it is your child’s birthday, they still need to be in school and on time. Any absence for this reason will be unauthorised.
