Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a good first week back after the half term break. We always love to see the smiles and enthusiasm and eagerness to learn (from children and staff!). Children continue to develop their knowledge and skills across the broad curriculum we offer applying new learning across a range of subjects.

Year 1 have had a particularly exciting time as they discovered a huge egg in their classroom! They predicted that it may be a dinosaur egg and have been exploring the school searching for clues and writing about their findings. The range of vocabulary and language expressed has been wonderful not to mention the superb writing outcomes and almost uncontainable excitement!

As the weather gets colder, please ensure your child has a jumper and coat in school every day. It is harder to achieve your best learning when freezing cold. If you are missing jumpers, please have a look in the lost property box in the entrance hall. We have a wide selection of previously used uniform available too for small donations. Please enquire in the office.

We will be holding a SEND morning on Tuesday 15th November at 9am. Please sign up for this in the office. It will be an opportunity for you to meet the SENDCo (me!) and hear a little bit about our approach to supporting all children regardless of barriers they may experience.

Please continue to hear your child read at home so they make maximum progress and check out the website for photos of what your child has been up to.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
