Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s been a very short week but we have made the most of our days in school ensuring every second counts.

Children endlessly impress us with their determination, focus and perseverance with their learning. As well as supporting children to be the best learners they can be, being the best human they can be is of equal importance to us. We strive to help the children develop empathetic skills as well as demonstrating kindness and understanding in all situations. We have seen many incidents of kindness this week among the children and are proud of them for this.

Our Year 6 children have their SATS tests next week. This should be a celebration of all their hard work during their primary school years. Please help them reach their potential by encouraging a good sleep the night before and breakfast each day so they have maximum energy. We want them to try their very best so that what ever the result, they can be proud of their effort, focus and perseverance. We will praise this just as much as (if not more than) what they actually achieve. SATS do not define children but they are an opportunity for children to show off their learning behaviours. We believe in you children, just try your best!!!

We have celebrated a number of birthdays this week – thank you for bringing your children to school!

We hope you enjoy this next long weekend with your wonderful children and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
