Therapy Dog - January 2024

On Thursday, we were lucky enough to have a very special visitor. Rocky and his owner Karen Bennett came to visit some of the children (and staff!) Rocky is a therapy dog and had to have a very special interview to be given the job! The benefits of Animal Assisted Therapies (AAT) have been extensively studied and results range from improvement in general health and wellbeing, increased confidence levels, improved and controlled movement to improved communication skills. We hope they both come back to visit us soon!
