To the new 5JW,

The last few months have been a very unusual time for everyone and I hope that you and your family and friends are keeping safe and well.

As we weren’t able to meet as a new class in school before the end of the summer term, this letter is to welcome you to Year 5, your first year in Upper key Stage 2! As a pupil in Year 5, you will be seen by other children as a role model around school, therefore it is very important that you make the right behaviour choices and use lovely manners 😊.

We will be starting the school year with an exciting topic and hopefully some outdoor learning; being creative will definitely be part of Year 5 and I am very much looking forward to sparking your interest and joining you on your learning journey. Let’s hope that the lovely weather we have been having continues into September so that we can make the most of the outdoor spaces in our lessons, which will support our health and well-being – I love being active and hope that you do to!
