Dear Parents and Carers,

We have challenged ourselves!

This half term, we have been celebrating occasions where children have excelled at challenging themselves. We have encouraged them to articulate what they have done and how it helped them overcome difficulties or achieve new things. Today we issued the first of our very own Stoke ‘challenge yourself’ certificates made by artist Katie O’Brien who has done a number of pieces of artwork at our school (and around Coventry!).

The children have worked hard this term and have achieved a lot personally, emotionally and academically. We hope they have a good rest next week and come back raring to achieve even more on Tuesday 7^th November!

Pride in our journals

Subject leader book looks this week have highlighted the amazing work the children have been doing; curiosity and making links are common themes across the subjects. It is great to see children able to express their views, ask questions and seek to use their skills to discover more.

SEND coffee morning

Thank you to all who attended our SEND coffee morning on Wednesday. It was a great turn out and we were thrilled to welcome our colleagues from CCT, SEMHL and NHS SALT. Thank you for all your positive feedback about how we support your children. We have already responded to ‘even better ifs’ and have put in place a club specifically for children on the SEND register.

Reminders

We break up for half term on Friday 27^th October and return on Tuesday 7^th November.
