Dear Parents and Carers,

What an amazing first week back. The children have come back enthusiastic, energised and ready to learn. Staff are excited about the term and delighted to be welcoming the children back. Staff (old and new) and visitors have been impressed by the children’s attitudes to learning and how well settled they are.

This term our focus is ‘challenge yourself’. We were blown away in assembly by the superb examples given for children demonstrating this quality. If your child has won a house trophy, please be proud of it this week and ensure you hand it back to the office by next Thursday. Well done to all children for their hard work and desire to challenge themselves to be their very best.

We continue to reflect on our Stoke values teaching the children to be : 

Solution focused, truthful, optimistic, kind and empathetic.

We are looking forward to you joining us next Friday afternoon where we hope to show examples of how children have thought about these values during their transition week. We are combining this with our Macmillan fundraiser. We hope you will enjoy a drink and biscuit with us while you visit your child’s class. Any donations will be gratefully received for this worthwhile cause.

We have spent some time reflecting on the Queen’s life today and understand this affects us all differently. We wish you all peaceful weekend.
