RE:  HOUSE LAUNCH

Dear Parent/Guardian

We are very excited to have all the children back in school and are writing to let you know that we will be launching a new house system across school now that we are all back together again.  Our house system events will allow children from across the school to work collaboratively, in teams and also to earn points towards their house through a variety of competitions that will be held, including sports competitions like sports days etc.

We have four houses:  Godiva (Yellow), Ricoh (Red), Sky Blue (Blue) and Belgrade (Green) and each of the children have been assigned to one of the houses.  Where there are several children from one family, all the children are in the same house.

On Friday 12th and Friday 19th March, we are going to be running some house launch events.  Children will be working in their houses (in their bubbles) to create their house chant/song, the house mascot, the house shield and some competitions for all the children to take part in.  On these Fridays, your children may come to school in the colours of their team – it might be a whole outfit, a t-shirt or just their socks!  The rest of their outfit will need to be school uniform.  Please do not go out and buy outfits especially for this – have a look at what they might have in these colours.  Please ask your child what colour house they are in – they will all have been reminded.

We also have PE tops with the school logo available to purchase in house colours.  These will be priced at £3.50 and will be purchased from the school office.  More details will follow in a further letter.  These tops are not compulsory for the rest of this year but will be from next year so if you need to buy a new top for your child soon, you may choose to buy the official Stoke house top next time.
