Dear Parents and Carers,

World Book Day

Yesterday we had great fun celebrating World Book Day. We all dressed as a word! We had ‘exhausted’, ‘scientific’, ‘puzzled’, ‘sparkly’, ‘discombobulated’, ‘random’, ‘graceful’, ‘enchanted’ and ‘sporty’ to name a few. Please see the website for photos and to watch our “masked reader” video, inspired by the TV show “the masked singer”!

Outside fun

A group of children joined Mr Pahal and Miss Collins on a visit to an orchard where they explored the trees and demonstrated huge amounts of curiosity.

Mr Pahal has asked for any donations of wellies you no longer need – please don’t throw any away, bring them into school and we will put them to good use!

Reminders

Parents evenings take place on March 19th and March 21st, 3.30-5.30pm. Please sign up for a slot by talking to your class teachers, to talk about your child’s progress. On Tuesday 19th March, we will have several interpreters in school to help with these conversations so please ensure you make use of this if needed.

Our next SEND coffee morning is Tuesday 19th March 9-10.30am. Please do come along.

A reminder that we have MMR vaccinations in school on Monday.

We have lots of previously used uniform available if this would be helpful. Pop up to school any Thursday from 3pm and ask the office if you would like to have a look.

Women who wow!

Today is National Women’s Day. In assembly, we reflected on the women in our lives that inspire, help and support. We reflected on some of the great inventions made by women including the game monopoly, the dishwasher and stem cell advances. We went on to celebrate our girls and boys who have demonstrated good learning qualities this week and perhaps most importantly demonstrated kindness and empathy in their dealings with others.

If you have any questions, please pop into the school office or email to request a time to meet. We will always do our best to support you.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Have a happy and safe weekend.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
