23-24 Trips & Educational Visits

Dear Parents and Carers,

2023/2024 – Trips and Educational Visits

Educational visits and trips are a fantastic way for children to learn. Such experiences contribute to a wider world perspective by broadening their horizons and exposing them to different cultures, environments, and people, whilst stimulating their brains. Trips can make a topic feel new and exciting, bringing subjects to life with hands on learning opportunities.

Examples of educational visits that your child may experience in line with their topics are, Weston Supermere, Natural History Museum, Sea Life Centre, Twycross Zoo, Warwick Castle and many more.

This academic year, we are introducing a new approach to how our parents and carers pay towards their child’s school trips.  The total cost covering all curriculum trips will be £30 per child. This fee includes entry and travel costs for all trips planned for your child’s year group.  For pupil premium children, the fee is reduced to £15 for the year.

You will see an outstanding order balance for the full amount owed for each child, and you can make payments towards this balance, throughout the full year. For example, if you wish to spread the cost, parents can pay £10 per term via the app.

Your balance will be monitored by the office team regularly, so you may receive reminder emails to make a payment towards your balance.

Please note, if your child is currently in year 4 and you have recently paid towards the Twycross Zoo trip, your payment will be automatically taken off your £30 balance for the year.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience whilst we onboard to our new My Child at School app. We hope that this approach to trip payments will be more manageable for all parents and carers.

Yours sincerely
