Dear Parents and Carers,

We are getting closer to Christmas excitement! Mr Ascroft’s favourite day of the year has to be when he goes off to collect a massive Christmas tree (next Friday!!) with handpicked staff and children. The tree has got progressively bigger each year so I am wondering whether we will have to remove some ceiling panels this time!

We have started rehearsing for our House singing event – please see the website for dates so you don’t miss your child’s performance. The performances will be followed by a visit to Santa’s grotto with your children.

This week in our ‘Brilliant Band’ slot in our Wednesday assembly, Year 3 girls’ group, ‘The lonely girls’, performed ‘Sing It Loud’. They were amazing and of course offered autographs to their friends at lunchtime!

The looming excitement has not stopped the hard work and focus in classes. Children continue to try their best and strive to be the best version of themselves. In all we do, we seek to:

Remove Obstacles / Offer Success / together everyday relationally. ‘Roosters’ is influencing how we ensure we are meeting the needs of all children with the importance of fostering relationships to understand individual life stories and sense of belonging underlining our practice.

We were pleased with the turnout for parents’ evenings this week. These are an invaluable time to ensure effective communication for children’s next steps. If you missed your session, please contact your child’s teacher. Thank you to all staff for staying so late to ensure everyone gets seen. I know many parents were full of praise for the rounded education provided by Stoke Primary.

Please ensure your children have coats and gloves in school for lunch and playtimes so the cold doesn’t affect their outside play enjoyment.

Thank you for your continued support, please let us know if there is anything you need help with.

Have a good and safe weekend.

Kind regards
