Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you

A huge thank you to our year 6 parents who have allowed their children to go to Dol’y’Moch, they have arrived safely and are having a whale of a time with the 9 members of staff who have done with them. Not sure who is having more fun…children or adults. Mr Ascroft has reported back that the children are all being absolutely fantastic!

Last week, was such a great start back to school. Children were focused, energetic and enthusiastic to get back into school routine and learning – all staff agreed that we could not have asked for a better start back.

Miss Reeves’ class had an especially exciting time pretending to be Howard Carter going through Tutun Khamum’s tomb discovering artefacts and the different chambers on the way.

Year 3 have spent time in Forest School learning about life in the Stone Age including how to start a fire and how to make tools and weapons.

Reception have settled in beautifully and look as if they have always been here! We are all very proud of how they have made new friends and are enjoying exploring the environment. Nursery children have their first full session today and look like they are well at home.

Our learning quality this term is ‘challenge yourself’ and in assembly today we have talked about how to ‘shine bright like a diamond’ showing our STOKE values (to be solution focused, truthful, optimistic, kind and empathetic). Some children might come home wearing sticky ‘diamonds’!!

Have a wonderful week and thank you for ensuring your children are in school, on time, every day; this is so important.

We are here to answer any questions and support in any way we can.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
