Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 2 had a great trip to the Herbert Art Gallery on Monday wowing all their adults with their behaviour and conduct in public. Please check out the photos on the website.

Next week is ‘Aspirations week’ here at Stoke. We have a number of visitors coming to talk to the children and hope the week will further inspire children providing aspirational hopes and dreams to motivate them. We will be thinking about how our STOKE values and learning qualities are instrumental to success in any future role, job, dream, pathway.

A reminder of our STOKE values – to be… solution focused, truthful, optimistic, kind and empathetic. To use our learning qualities – to… challenge, persevere, focus, explore, reflect and celebrate.

Year 6 are busy working hard on their end of year play but found time to take part in an orienteering day at Coombe. Lots of fun was had by all!

Please ensure children have water bottles, hats and suncream in the hot weather.

Children will all take part in transition week from 8th July where they will spend every day with their new teachers in their new classes. This is always a really positive experience which helps establish relationships and fosters excitement for the coming year.

Our half termly SEND coffee morning has been moved to Tuesday 9th July 2pm – technically our first SEND coffee AFTERNOON!!

We are looking forward to our Summer Fete on Wednesday 10th July where you are invited to collect your children at 1.45 and join in with the fun.

We are here to answer any questions and support in any way we can.

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable week with your children.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
