As part of our exploration into the significance of the River Nile in Ancient Egypt, we were investigating how the Egyptians transported water from the river to their crops. We learnt about the shaduf, a simple yet effective irrigation tool that played a crucial role in ensuring crops received water during dry periods. To deepen our understanding, we worked in pairs to construct our own shadufs, gaining hands-on experience with this impressive, ancient engineering. 💧
