20th December 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

WOW!! What a week!

As we draw close to the end of the Autumn Term, it’s safe to say we’ve finished with a real Stoke bang! From laughter-filled performances to festive celebrations, we’ve had an unforgettable week here at school.

Staff Pantomime
Our week kicked off in the best possible way with the staff panto performance for the children! It was an absolute hit, and the children absolutely loved it. Mr. Ascroft made a special appearance at the end—let’s just say, it involved whipped cream, and we’re not sure how much he loved it, but thank you, Mr. Ascroft, for ending the panto on a high note! A huge thank you also goes to all the staff, both on and off stage, for creating such a fantastic, hilarious afternoon.

Stoke Christmas Dinner
Next, we enjoyed our annual Stoke Christmas Dinner, which was a true festive highlight! All of the children and staff came together in the hall, seated by House groups, for a delicious meal. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and to share such a special moment as a school community. Thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for making it such a memorable event!

The Christmas Tree
In the true spirit of Christmas, we’ve now moved our Christmas tree (piece by piece) to Forest School! Pieces of Christmas 2024 at Stoke will be with us forevermore.

A Fond Farewell
Today, we said goodbye to Mrs. Rankin, who has been such a huge part of our office team for so many years. Mrs. Rankin has contributed so much to the smooth running of the school, and we will all miss her kindness and efficiency. We wish her a very happy and well-earned retirement—she will always be part of the Stoke family.

Thank You

As we approach the holiday break, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you—our wonderful parents and carers—for your unwavering support this term. We’re also incredibly proud of our brilliant children for making this term so enjoyable and full of learning.

Whether you’re relaxing at home or celebrating with family, we hope you all have a restful and festive break. We can’t wait to welcome you back in the new year for even more exciting adventures!

Thank you once again for your continued support.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
