The Mask of Tutankhamun
After studying Tutankhamun, we were fascinated by his magnificent sarcophagus and his iconic death mask. Inspired by this significant artefact, we decided to recreate it ourselves. First, we attached our mask templates using cello tape to the outline we had drawn. Then, we applied paper-mache to give our masks strength and shape. Once they were dry, we carefully painted them paying close attention to the rich details on King Tutankhamun's original mask.
Year 4 Hedgehog class - Imagine stepping into the world of Tutankhamun with your child! They explored his fascinating Sarcophagus and iconic death mask. Inspired by this incredible artefact, they took on the fun challenge of recreating it themselves.
