Thank you!

Thank you, Parents and Carers, friends and Governors for your support with our Macmillan cake sale this afternoon. Great to see you celebrating your children’s learning in their classes and enjoying the delicious spread of cakes all whilst raising money for this very worthy cause.

Today, our school council sampled a range of foods cooked by our kitchen team. They enjoyed ‘eating posh’ and gave some great feedback!

Another 10 children were chosen by our Dining Room Assistants to sit on the VIP table at lunchtime for showing super manners. They enjoyed some sweet treats and flavoured water – check out our Instagram page for photos!

We have welcomed more new families this week and are excited to get to know them more. See our weekly ‘new starter’ feature on Instagram.

In assembly this week, we have been talking about the importance of taking responsibility. The children have been encouraged to ‘do’ before we / you nag them! Surely that is a win-win! The children highlighted some of the areas at home and school that they should take responsibility for: getting up on time, brushing their hair, cleaning their teeth, collecting their belongings, listening to their adults, making sure coats are hung up (not left on the floor), checking their work and using their manners. Many children shared some great examples of when they had taken responsibility at home or at school – we look forward to hearing more!
