What is a vertebrate?

In our science lessons, we have been developing our classification skills by examining animal x-rays and using scientific questioning to explore their characteristics. We grouped animals based on similarities and differences, leading to discussions about vertebrates and invertebrates.

Building on this, we explored our school grounds to investigate the living things in our local habitat. We discovered a variety of invertebrates, sparking further questions about their features and the environments they thrive in.
