Dear Parents and Carers,

Science Day

It was fantastic to see every child so engaged, curious and excited about all things Science. The buzz around school was wonderful, and it was clear how much the children were enjoying exploring and discovering throughout the day. It was a great opportunity for them to ask questions, investigate new ideas and develop their love of Science.

Year 4 Trip to Twycross Zoo

Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Twycross Zoo, where the children had the opportunity to see a wide range of amazing animals and learn more about their habitats and how they are cared for. The pupils were enthusiastic and curious throughout the day, asking thoughtful questions and sharing their knowledge about different species. The visit was a wonderful way to bring their learning to life and helped deepen their understanding of animals, conservation and the natural world. We were very proud of how well the children represented the school and how engaged they were during the trip. 🦍🦒

World Book Day

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day in school this week. This year, the children took part in a creative challenge by dressing up as vocabulary words, and we were so impressed by their imaginative ideas! From “sparkling” and “camouflage” to “adventurous” and “mysterious,” the costumes were incredibly inventive and showed a real love of language and reading. It was wonderful to see the children talking about their chosen words and sharing their favourite books with friends. Thank you to families for supporting the day and helping make it such an enjoyable celebration of reading and vocabulary. 📚✨

Year 3 Roman Day

Year 3 had an exciting and memorable Roman Day this week, where their history learning was brought to life. The children were thrilled to be visited by a real Roman soldier, who shared fascinating facts about life in the Roman army, including the armour soldiers wore, the equipment they carried and the training they had to complete. The children had the opportunity to ask questions and even try out some of the activities a Roman soldier might have done. It was a fantastic day that helped deepen their understanding of Roman history and made their learning even more engaging and memorable. 🏺⚔️
