Rowing Competition

This week, some of our year 6s took part in a rowing competition – against other schools in Coventry. They did us proud, showing resilience and determination! I will post the results next week.

Every Heart Matters Week (week beginning 9^th February)

This week, we welcomed Naomi from OurJay Foundation, who came in to talk about her son, Jamie, his foundation and the importance of us getting our very own defibrillator. If you would like to know more about Jamies story or the foundation, take a look at their facebook page…

‘I visited one of the most inspirational places I’ve ever visited this morning. The kindest people, who were so supportive and understanding.’

‘I have to say, of all the schools I have visited, since losing my Jamie, I have never met such a polite, well-mannered and respectful group of young people. They listened, they took part, they stayed quite (without even having to be told) and then some of them came to thank me personally for what we are supporting them with.’

SATs practice

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils for the resilience, focus, and positive attitude they have shown during a full and demanding week of SATs practice. They approached each session with determination and maturity, supporting one another and doing their very best. These practice weeks are designed to help reassure our children, build their confidence, and ensure they understand what will happen and when, so there are no surprises. Their hard work and commitment have been truly impressive, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they have risen to the challenge.

Friday 13^th February – Wear Blue / Red. Bring a coin/s to create a coin trail.
