24th October 2025 Dear Parents and Carers, What a brilliant half term! It’s hard to believe that eight weeks have flown by already. What a half term this has been – full of learning, adventure and amazing opportunities for our children. From the Year 6 residential to Dol-y-Moch, the Year 5 trip to the Space Centre, the Year 4 visit to the Ashmolean Museum, inspiring Shakespeare workshops, joyful Family Fun afternoons, our Harvest singing celebration, and so much more – our pupils have truly embraced every experience. We are so proud of their enthusiasm, curiosity and resilience this half term. Visit to the Hindu Mandir
This week, Mrs Stoker organised a beautiful visit to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir for families to explore how Diwali is celebrated in the Hindu faith. It was a truly special community moment – full of colour, learning and togetherness. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the Mandir for the warmest of welcomes. We are incredibly proud of the respect and interest our children show in learning about different cultures and beliefs. Values Dodgeball – Team Stoke!
Last Friday and again today, some of our Year 4 and Year 5 children represented Stoke in a Values Dodgeball event. This tournament isn’t just about winning matches – children are recognised for demonstrating important values such as teamwork, honesty, resilience and respect. Our pupils were fantastic role models and made us extremely proud with both their effort and sportsmanship. Well done, Team Stoke! Attendance Letters Today, attendance letters have been sent out to all parents and carers to share your child’s current attendance for the year so far. These have been sent via email. Please check your inbox – and your junk or spam folder just in case.
If you do not receive your child’s attendance letter, please let Mrs. Fenlon in the Family Team know. It is also very important that we have your most up-to-date email address, so please let the office know if your contact details have changed to be sure you do not miss important messages. Thank you for your support.
Pupil Premium and Free School Meals
A reminder that families may be eligible for Pupil Premium funding, which provides additional financial support to help enhance learning opportunities and wellbeing across school. Even if your child has packed lunches, registering still benefits the school and our children. If you haven’t already checked your eligibility, please visit: https://www.coventry.gov.uk/benefits-1/free-school-meals/2, or ask at the school office for a form. Coming Up After Half Term…
