19th September 2025 Dear Parents and Carers,
What a fantastic start to the term we’ve had!
Year 6 – Dol-y-Moch AdventureDuring the very first week back, Year 6 set off on their much-anticipated residential to Dol-y-Moch. For the first time ever, Stoke pupils travelled there and back by train – a brilliant adventure in itself! The children were a real credit to the school, showing independence, resilience, and teamwork throughout the week. Staff also had the best time and would like to say a big thank you to families for your support, and to the staff team who gave up their time to make this such a memorable experience.Year 5 – Space Centre TripYear 5 launched straight into their ‘Cosmic’ topic with an inspiring trip to the Space Centre! The children were fascinated by the exhibits, particularly the planetarium, and came away full of knowledge and curiosity about our universe. The Meadow – Our Youngest Learners ArriveWe are thrilled to announce that this week we welcomed our very first cohort of two-year-olds into our Stoke community. What a milestone! Last week, we had a wonderful ‘first look’ at The Meadow alongside our local MP, Mary Creagh, before beginning settling-in sessions in the hall. Our youngest children have already shown such curiosity, confidence, and enthusiasm – we are so proud to extend our provision to even younger learners.
Friday 26th September – Parents Welcome Next Friday, parents are welcome to join us from 2pm in the hall for our MacMillan coffee afternoon. This will be followed by our Harvest Singing, with the opportunity for parents to look at your child’s work so far. We look forward to welcoming you. Uniform ReminderA gentle reminder of the letter sent out in Summer 2 regarding uniform expectations and PE kit. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed smartly, ready to learn and participate fully in all activities. |
