21st March 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a busy and exciting two weeks it has been here at school! Our pupils have been involved in so many wonderful activities, from music lessons to history lessons, and we're thrilled to share the highlights with you. Here's a quick roundup of the amazing events that have taken place:

WeCreate Music - Ukulele & Guitar Lessons
Last week, WeCreate led a music assembly for the school. We are excited to offer WeCreate Music lessons for our pupils! All children have received letters about signing up for ukulele or guitar lessons. If your child is interested, please don’t forget to scan the QR code or return the form to school. Just a reminder that ukulele lessons are particularly suitable for KS1 pupils, so if your child is in that group, it's a great way to start their musical journey!

Year 2 & Year 5 Parent Reading Quiz
Thank you to all the parents who attended the Year 2 and Year 5 Reading Quiz! It was fantastic to see so many of you supporting your children’s learning and engaging in some fun reading challenges. We appreciate your involvement in helping to boost their love of reading, and it’s always a pleasure to see how much progress they’re making!

Celebrated Happiness Afternoon
Yesterday, we celebrated a Happiness Afternoon with a mix of year groups taking part in different activities designed to promote happiness and wellbeing. The afternoon was filled with laughter, teamwork, and creativity. A big thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable event!

Boudicca Visits Year 3!
History came to life this week when Boudicca visited our Year 3 class! The children were absolutely fascinated by her stories and engaged in some fantastic, curious questions. It was a brilliant opportunity for them to explore the past in such an interactive way – a real blast from the past!

Belgrade House Wins Attendance Challenge
Congratulations to Belgrade House, our attendance winners this week! We're thrilled to see such great commitment to being present and on time. We always aim for the highest attendance possible, as every day counts in ensuring our pupils' success. Well done, Belgrade – keep it up!

Year 1 Trip to the Transport Museum
Today, Year 1 had a fantastic trip to the Transport Museum as part of their ‘Journeys’ topic. The children had a wonderful time learning about transport through the ages, seeing old vehicles up close, and exploring the fascinating history of how transport has evolved over time.

As always, thank you for your continued support. Have a lovely weekend.
