14th February 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s been another fantastic week here at Stoke, and as we approach the end of this half-term, we have so much to celebrate and share with you.

New Signs!

You may have noticed our new signage at the front of the school! We’re excited to share that this is part of our ongoing effort to enhance our school’s identity and make it even more welcoming. The fresh signage reflects the positive energy and community spirit we hold dear, and we hope you like the update!

A Warm Welcome to Ruth, Our New Reading Volunteer

We are thrilled to welcome Ruth to our team! Ruth will be joining us as a new reading volunteer, supporting our Year 6 children in developing their reading skills. It’s wonderful to have her on board, and we know the children will benefit from her support.

SEND Coffee Morning – Thank You for Joining Us

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our SEND Coffee Morning this week. It’s always such a pleasure to come together as a community, share insights, and strengthen the bonds that make our school so special. We’re grateful for your time and input as we continue to ensure the best support for all our children.

Emma Lewry’s Visit – A Positive Look at Year 2 Provision

We were excited to welcome the fantastic Emma Lewry, who is overseeing a case study of our Year 2 provision with our Assistant Head, Miss. Parker. Emma had the opportunity to see how the children use the provision and was incredibly positive about what she saw. She highlighted the amazing teamwork and the care and thought put into every element. Emma was particularly impressed by the happiness of the children and their collaborative work with one another.

Goodbye to Miss. Owen – You Will Be Missed!

Today, we said goodbye to the fantastic Miss. Owen, who has been an incredible support to our Year 4 pupils and helped out at breakfast club. Miss. Owen is moving on to an exciting new role, but she will be deeply missed by everyone here at Stoke. Her impact on the team and pupils has been huge, and we want to thank her for all she’s done. Wishing you all the best in your new adventure, Miss. Owen!

Year 4 Fashion Show

We ended today on a high note with the Year 4 Fashion Show, and wow, what a treat it was! It was amazing to see so much thought, creativity, and teamwork in action. The children put on an incredible show, and we’re so proud of them for showcasing their talents in such a fun and imaginative way.

Thank You for a Wonderful Half-Term

As we wrap up this half-term, we want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. It’s been an eventful few weeks, and we’re grateful for all the positive energy, teamwork, and dedication that makes our school so special.

We wish you all a safe and restful break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, 24th February.
