9th May 2025 Dear Parents and Carers, What a Brilliant Week It’s Been!
The school has been full of smiles and excitement, with children diving into a wide range of fun and meaningful learning experiences. It’s been fantastic to see so much enthusiasm across the classrooms. Year 2 – Art Attack at the Herbert Art Gallery
Year 2 enjoyed a creative and inspiring visit to the Herbert Art Gallery this week as part of their ‘Art Attack’ topic. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to explore a range of artwork up close, and it’s already been sparking some brilliant ideas back in the classroom. Mr McGarrity joined them for the trip and had a fab time – we can’t wait to see the masterpieces this visit inspires! Year 4 – Anglo-Saxon Day
Year 4 had a fantastic time stepping back in time during their immersive Anglo-Saxon Day! From exciting outdoor challenges to hands-on indoor activities, the children fully embraced the experience. Their teachers were incredibly proud of how everyone threw themselves into the day with such enthusiasm and curiosity – a brilliant way to bring history to life! Dotty’s Birthday!
We had a very special visitor on Wednesday – Dotty, our much-loved therapy dog, came in to celebrate her birthday! Dotty brings so much calm, joy, and comfort to our children each week, so it was lovely to give something back with a little celebration. Happy Birthday, Dotty! Year 6 – SATs Week Ahead
Next week, our amazing Year 6 children will be taking part in their SATs. We are so proud of all the hard work they’ve put in over the year – their dedication and resilience has been incredible. That said, we know they are so much more than a test, and we’re already proud of each and every one of them. We know they’ll do their best, and that’s all we could ever ask. Dates for Your Diary
