2nd May 2025 Dear Parents and Carers, What a brilliant first week back we’ve had! The school has been buzzing with energy as children have dived into lots of exciting learning opportunities. It’s been wonderful to see so many smiling faces and enthusiastic learners in every classroom. Year 4 – Fire Safety Visit
This week, Year 4 were fortunate to have a visit from the local Fire Service. They took part in a very informative session learning all about common causes of fire, how to stay safe, and what to do in an emergency – including how to use 999 correctly. A big thank you to our visitors for delivering such an important and engaging session! Year 5 Farm Visits – From Farm to Fork
Both Year 5 classes have been out on the farm this week as part of their ‘Farm to Fork’ topic. The children were a credit to our school – their behaviour was exemplary, and they thoroughly enjoyed learning about where our food comes from. Staff and pupils alike had a fantastic time! OPAL Lunchtimes Have Begun!
We are excited to share that this week we launched our OPAL lunchtimes! Children now have the chance to explore, play, and be creative with a whole range of exciting resources during their lunch breaks. We are really hoping that OPAL will help to promote teamwork, independence, and joyful play.
We’re always looking to expand our OPAL resources – if you’re able to donate any dressing-up clothes, role-play pushchairs, old suitcases, kitchen utensils for our mud kitchen, or any small and large vehicles, we would be incredibly grateful!
Attendance Matters – Everyday Counts
This is a relatively short half term, and we want to make the most of every single day. Please help us by ensuring your child is in school and on time each day. Good attendance plays a huge role in helping children access all the learning and opportunities on offer. Dates For Your Diary At the bottom of this newsletter, are important dates for the diary for the remainder of this academic year. Thank You and Enjoy the Bank Holiday Weekend!
Thank you for your ongoing support – it really does make a difference. We hope you enjoy the bank holiday weekend and look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for more learning!
