Phonics
We are using a Phonics Scheme called, 'Super Sonic Phonic Friends' to teach our children the skills they need to read and write.
Super Sonic Phonic Friends was introduced during the summer term of 2022 and is now embedded throughout school. The teaching staff and children are enthused in their learning, enjoy exploring the characters that support the learning and are making good progress.
Children from Nursery through to Year 2 will have regular letters home to update you and support learning at home linked to the phonics sounds your child is learning at school. Please use these to explore ways in which you can support your child at home and reinforce learning at school.
Children in KS2 may still be learning Phonics and will be supported using the same scheme.
If you have any questions, please talk to your class teacher about your child's learning.
