World Book Day 2020 – March 5th
This year for World Book Day we would like to give the children the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character or come in dressed in their pyjamas as part of our ‘Bedtime Stories’ theme.
During the day we will be running a book swap shop where children can donate old books they no longer read and choose to take home another book of their choice. Please send in any unwanted books to school by March 2nd. Books must be in good condition with no pages ripped or missing.
We will also be running a ‘decorate a rock/potato competition’ to show your favourite book. There will be prizes for the best entries in each Year group. Entries should be brought in on March 5th for judging and must be labelled with the name and class of your child.
Classes across the school will be participating in book based activities for this day to support our children to develop a lifelong love of reading!
