10th February 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 4 have been busy learning about electrical circuits. Whilst I was stripped of my bracelet, watch and ring to see if they conducted electricity, it was great to see such high levels of engagement (and they did give my jewellery back once tested and recorded!).

Year 2 have been learning all about castles in preparation for their trip next week to Warwick castle and year 5 have loved welcoming a pet hamster into the class and have been showing kindness and concern to another level!

We have welcomed the talented artist Katie back into school to do more wall art which looks just amazing! The children have been really inspired by her work (as have the adults!). Thank you Katie.

We continue to work closely with agencies such as the Complex communication team, social, emotional, mental health and learning and our Speech and language therapists to offer bespoke support for children across the school. A reminder that if you receive a report from any of these agencies and would like to discuss it further before the next parents consultations / Edukey meetings, please do contact me to arrange a suitable time.

Save the date: SEND drop in (to ask any questions / meet the SENDCOs: Mrs Morris and myself): Friday 3rd March 2pm.

There were 33 lates last week. If your child is late 3 times after the registers close, any future lates will be recorded as unauthorised. If these build up, you could potentially be fined. Please help your child be on time for school every day. If you are worried about your child’s attendance and/or punctuality, please contact the Family Team who will be happy to see how they can support you.

It would be great if we can reduce 33 lates to 0 next week! Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kind regards

Lucy Pater
