Junior PCSO's

We have been very lucky again this year.

Ten Year 5 children have been able to complete their training to become qualified Junior PCSO's.

Please follow their journey.

Week One:

. The children were provided with their uniforms.

. Began to practice the phonetic alphabet.

. Were each given a work book to go through.

. The most important  job was to sign  the group contract and say the Junior PCSO  pledge.

 

 Week Two:

. Uniforms on.

. All practised the phonetic alphabet which was going to be useful for the next job. 

. All Junior PCSO's were going to take part in a speed watch on Walsgrave road.

 . Walsgrave road, speed limit for drivers is 30 miles per hour.

. Recording registration plates - using the phonetic alphabet in a timely fashion will be required.

 

. Luckily no  drivers exceeded the speed limit.

. The police went past and gave the Junior PCSO's a wave. 

Week 3:

Crime scene.....

Crime Scene investigators arrive.....

Then start their investigation...

Any clues?.......

MMMMM What do we have here then?........................

Looks like evidence to me.

What's next!

Think we may have a couple of suspects here.

We discussed all different types of evidence, fingerprints, shoe prints, our DNA etc. The Junior PCSO's got a chance to take their own fingerprints. 

Week 4:  The Trial. The Judge, suspect, jury and the legal team. We have a very serious Jury here, the suspect appears very worried, they're is a lot of evidence.

Week 5:  Again an amazing few weeks with the PCSO's. Stoke Primary have such a good connection with them we really appreciate Mat and Will coming in to our school. They come in throughout the year and visit lots of different year groups. I would like to say a huge "Thank you" to Mat and Will, we cannot wait until you return in the Summer Term to look at the parking on Briton Road with our Junior PCSO's

This week our Junior PCSO's took part in their first "Parking Patrol" on Briton road.                  Parents / Carers, please be mindful of where you park your vehicles during drop off and pick up times.                                                                                                                                                  We had a few near misses. We will be out during the last half term on a regular basis.
