19/06/26 Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 4 CampingOur Year 4 pupils had an unforgettable adventure during their overnight camp at Rough Close! From pitching tents and exploring the outdoors to taking part in exciting team-building activities, the children embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and confidence. As the sun set, everyone enjoyed sharing stories, toasting marshmallows around the campfire and spending time with their friends under the stars. The camp-out was a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their independence, resilience and teamwork while creating memories that will last a lifetime. We are incredibly proud of their excellent behaviour and positive attitudes throughout the experience, and we would like to thank the staff and volunteers who made this fantastic trip possible.
Girls FootballOur girls' football team represented the school brilliantly in their recent match against Willenhall, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the game. Every player gave their all, showing great resilience and supporting one another from the first whistle to the last. We are incredibly proud of the positive attitude and enthusiasm the team displayed, both on and off the pitch, and they were excellent ambassadors for our school. Well done to all of the players!
Weather reminderAs we head into the warmer months, the weather can be unpredictable, so please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately in full school uniform each day. We kindly ask that all children bring a named sun hat and have sun cream applied before arriving at school, as staff are unable to apply it during the day. It is also essential that every child brings a named water bottle to help them stay hydrated while learning and playing. Thank you for your support in keeping our children safe, comfortable and ready to enjoy the school day, whatever the weather!
Thank a Teacher DayA huge thank you to all of our families who took the time to share such thoughtful and heartfelt messages for our staff as part of National Thank a Teacher Day. Your kind words of appreciation and recognition mean so much and are a wonderful reminder of the positive impact that strong home-school partnerships have on our children. We are delighted to share that every comment has been passed on to the individual teachers and staff members, bringing many smiles (and a few happy tears) along the way. Thank you for helping us celebrate the dedication, care and commitment of our amazing team, who work tirelessly every day to support and inspire our pupils. Makaton Sign of the WeekSign of the week is WANT. Start with right palm on your chest and swipe down and up. Always say the word "want" out loud as you do the sign.
