This week, our Early Years children received a very special delivery.
Five duck eggs arrived on Tuesday, along with everything needed to help them hatch and thrive during their short stay with us. Based in Reception, we are delighted to share that three fluffy ducklings have already hatched. They have quickly become a firm favourite across the school, with children enjoying the opportunity to observe them closely and learn about their life cycle in a real and meaningful way.
Makaton Sign of the Week
This week’s Makaton sign is help.
As part of our whole school focus on inclusive communication, we encourage you to ask your child to show you this sign at home.
Sky Blue Army
Today, we came together to celebrate in style by dressing in blue for Sky Blue! We are incredibly proud of Coventry City Football Club and their recent success. The playground was full of energy this morning, with music playing and plenty of excitement from both children and staff. It was a fantastic way to celebrate together as a school community.
Year 6 Trip
This week, our Year 6 children were ‘evacuated’ to the countryside as part of their learning about World War II. Travelling back in time by steam train, they experienced a day in the life of a child during the war. The children explored historical toys, helped to pump water to put out fires, and listened to genuine air raid sirens before taking shelter in a public air raid shelter.
It was a powerful and immersive experience that brought their learning to life. To quote Year 6, “It was like going back in time for the day!”
Year Group Attendance. Congratulations again Year 3!
All parents will have received their child’s attendance report via email before the Easter holidays. Please take the time to read this carefully, as your child’s attendance is extremely important to their learning and overall progress. Government guidelines state that all children should have an attendance rate of at least 96%. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s attendance, our Family Team will be very happy to support you.
