Message from Mr Bennett 27.4.20

Hey guys, Mr Bennett here.

I hope you have had a wonderful Easter break, stayed safe, have managed to enjoy some time out in the sun and have done some of the Easter learning activities that were on the class page. I have been enjoying the sun, going for walks in the park, doing DIY around my house, reading, watching TV, watching movies, playing computer games, cooking, and just keeping busy.

It's been 5 weeks since you were last in school. You might be missing school. You might not be missing it. You might be enjoying your time at home. You might be missing your friends but not missing school. Whatever you are feeling, just know that it is not wrong. You feel what you feel.

So, we are now in the Summer term. Can you believe it? This year has flown by and I am missing you all; the conversations we have, Happy Clappy and just being your teacher.

But, it's back to work now. You will see 'Home Learning packs week commencing 27.4.20' has been added to the class page. In it is a variety of reading, writing and maths tasks that you can complete. There is also a project you can have a go at. You will notice that there is an 'Under the Sea' theme. I think this follows on nicely from the learning we were doing last term based on Europe and map work. You may find some of the tasks too difficult or you might not always have access to the internet. That is fine. Just do what you can.

There are also links to YouTube; the Art Attack and Disney pages. They contain videos with lots of art activities that you can have a go at.

In the Easter home learning pack there was a life skills document. I hope you had a go at these as they are vital skills we all need in life. I have added more life skills in the 'Life skills' folder. Remember, learning isn't always reading, writing and maths.

Last, but not least, read! Read, read, read, read, read. Use the Oxford Owl website to access loads of free books! https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page

Remember, get a routine going! Use the daily schedule in the 'Home Learning Links & Ideas' folder.

Have a great week. Do some quality learning. Stay safe and be happy.

Make your move and say Yes!
